You can’t leave Coca Cola far behind where it comes to sponsoring those sports events that rank high on the epic scale, can you? We’re talking about Coca Cola’s 2018 World Cup campaign here, of course.
The advertisements that make up the Coca Cola 2018 World Cup campaign
The ‘Stock Up’ commercial is done to the beat of the AC/DC classic ‘Are you Ready?’ This slick ad is meant to inspire soccer fans to purchase their favorite Coca-Cola drink before each of the matches.
You can see the commercial here:
In the ‘Ready For’ ad, we find Coca Cola employees interacting to the bottles, prepping them for the strong emotions they might experience during the games.

The third ad is ‘Uplifted Alex’. This one in fact is the first one to appear within the frame of the 2018 World Cup. While playing the EA Sports’ Fifa 18 in Journey Mode, the star of the game, Alex Hunter, will go on to sign a sponsorship contract with Coca-Cola. This is unique as this makes him the world’s first virtual sports ambassador.

The fourth campaign, ‘The Uplifters’, has fans sharing the predictions of the scoreline before each match. This is complemented by a special edition of Coca Cola cans with the numbers 0 to 9 printed on them.
Here is the ‘Uplifters’ ad:
Of course, the game would ultimately be played and there would be those wildly sponsored men of the match awards but building the hype around those 90 minutes is something Coca Cola did exceedingly well with this campaign.
